Vintage Stiffel Cat Tail Floor Lamp by Paavo Viljo Tynell

A rare 1950s Stiffel brass torchiere "Cattail" lamp with three shades on brass rods attached to a triangular black metal base. This Vintage Stiffel Cattail Floor Lamp is designed based on the work of Finnish designer Paavo Viljo Tynell, who started crafting luxury glass lighting fixtures after he married Helene Tynell, the glass designer. This cattail lamp features three sockets (standard screw in size) and a three way on/off switch allowing one, two, or three bulbs to be lit. An early logo label can be found on the inside of one of the shades.
