A large-scale English oak hall bench with high back from the mid 19th century. This antique bench from England is generously sized at just over 6 feet in length and was made almost entirely without nails using primarily mortise and tenon with peg construction. The back features five rectangular panels with top rail decorated with a split baluster turning. The bench is supported with two turned legs in the front and squared back legs.
This English oak bench would be the perfect statement piece for a mudroom, an entry hall in a gentleman's lodge, or a farm house.
